We are excited to partner with the National Parks Service and the Ventura Gem & Mineral Society to bring forth fun and educational fossil-related activities to the public. Located within the Energy Education Lab at the California Oil Museum, Fossil Day will take place on October 16th from 2pm-5pm.

Learn about the science and telling importance of fossils, watch a dinosaur movie, partake in an outdoor fossil dig, examine fossils through the microscope, complete a fossil craft, and much more, led by the Museum’s Educator! Visitors will have the opportunity to become a Jr. Paleontologist Ranger, complete the workbook, and earn a National Parks Badge.
