About

If you live in California, chances are you’ve experienced an Earthquake. In this workshop students will learn the science behind them. Plate tectonics and boundaries will be discussed and examined with hands-on and yummy activities. Students will make earthquake waves, as well as design houses to withstand earthquakes frequencies and liquefaction.

Classes will inlcude a brief educational lecture, a hands-on activity, art project, and snack. Each student will also recieve a notebook to log their findings. The workshops will take place in our new Education Center, located in the Gallergy Room of the California Oil Museum. Space is limited, so be sure to register today!

Payments are due at the beginning of class. We accept all major credit cards, cash, and check. Pease arrive 15 minutes early.
